Ms. Joan Stone is the Founding CEO of A Grade Education and Training, bringing with her extensive experience and deep knowledge of the early childhood care sector. Her leadership has been an invaluable asset to A Grade, shaping opportunities for both current and future students.
She also serves on the Board of Child Care NSW, the peak body representing private childcare centres across the state. With her vision, A Grade Education and Training was established to combine high-quality classroom learning with practical, hands-on training in real childcare environments. Under her guidance, the organisation has expanded its scope to proudly include Aged Care among its range of nationally recognised accredited courses.
Joan’s career began as a Survey and Engineering Draftswoman with the Department of Lands, later moving into Engineering and Road Design at a Local Council. She went on to study Architectural Drafting and successfully ran her own drafting business. After the birth of her son, she transitioned into Primary Teaching, and later into High School Teaching after completing a conversion program.
For more than eight years, Joan worked as a Careers Adviser, encouraging students to pursue their goals with dedication and resilience.
