We’re Dresden Vision, and we make prescription glasses, sunglasses and contact lenses for people who want things done properly, without the runaround. We ship across Australia, Canada and New Zealand, but a lot of our story started close to home — including plenty of locals still searching for prescription glasses in Newtown and nearby.
We focus on making eyewear that lasts. Most of our frames are made using recycled materials, which wasn’t some marketing brainstorm. It just made sense. Less waste, fewer shortcuts. Not perfect, but we’re trying to do better than the old model.
Buying online shouldn’t feel risky, so we’ve built tools to make it easier. Our pupil distance measurement tool helps you get the fit right at home, and we offer blue light filter upgrades, photochromic lenses, kids’ glasses, round styles, plus accessories like cases and spare frames.
One thing we don’t mess around with is support. We back our frames with a 10-year warranty, and when customers reach out, they actually hear back. Sometimes late, sometimes mid-coffee.
Truth is, we’ve fixed more bent frames and odd little issues than we can count. Glasses are personal. If something’s not right, we’ll sort it out — that’s just how we work.
